National Motorhome Show Peterborough 14-18 Apr 16

The weather was pretty bad leading up to the this event and we had visions of the great Peterbog mudfest of 2012 (see earlier entry). We pitched up with the Motorhome Fun crowd again, who had managed to be allocated what was probably the best area of the showground. It was soft underfoot, but we managed to get on and parked up without too many hassles and met up with the crowd we last saw in Spain at Christmas.

It then started raining and the ground around the stalls was churning up. Other areas turned into a morass, yet the Fun area remained in very good condition. We wandered around the show (seems to be less on offer year on year), bought a couple of bits, said hello to the dealers we bought the new van from, watched an awful Abba tribute band, chatted to other Funsters and generally had a very social weekend.

The weather did eventually dry out and we managed to get out under our own steam (just). If it wasn't for the motorhome fun crowd then we probably wouldn't do this show again as Warners are probably pricing people out of attending. We were pleased, however, that the batteries lasted a full 5 days off-EHU, even with the heating going. Do we really need solar?
