Day 16 Sirmione. Sat 21 Jun. Noisy foreigners woke us up early so we cycled into Sirmione in the hope that we could find a bar that was showing the NZ v England game, but of course none were, so we ended up with a group of like minded Brits in a coffee bar listening on the internet whilst a surly waiter glared at us.
After the game we cycled into the old part of Sirmione, wandered around in the searing heat of this lovely but jam packed town, visited the ruins of the large Roman villa at the head of the peninsula, saw the hotel where we spent Debs 40th, then came
home for a rest. We experienced something new in a bar in town - nice, ice cold beers were served along with a large bowl of radishes. Weird!

Radishes! |

Ice cream - much nicer than radishes. They probably have radish flavour though |
