Braunston 26-28 Nov 15

4 Years almost to the day when we last went to Braunston to see Martin and his narrowboat. Where does the time go! We said that we wouldn't go back as it was £15 a night in 2011 for not very much. It's still £15 a night, so after 4 years I suppose it now represents a good deal, particularly as we were parked on a hard-standing behind the chandlery.

We arrived on the Thursday, met Martin, and had dinner in the local pub. On the Friday we had a splendid breakfast in the floating cafe, the Gongoozler's Rest, then boarded the bus into Rugby where we had a mooch around the town and school, saw the memorial plaque to William Webb Ellis then queued for hours on end for the crappy bus service back to Braunston for dinner in the pub.

Saturday it was off home after a visit to the excellent traditional butchers shop in Braunston.

Braunston Marina? It may be worth a trip back after all.
