Cambridge Folk Festival 31 Jul - 4 Aug 14

An event that we always wanted to attend and, this year, finally we managed it. Despite it being only 15 miles away, we booked into the Cherry Hinton site of the Caravan Club, which is a ten minute walk from the event. On Thursday, at arrival time, it seems that everybody else had the same idea and there was quite a queue to get in. Still, I pitched up and wandered across to suss out the lie of the land before cycling to the station to meet Debs when she arrived back from work.

On Friday she went to work and I went to the Festival, again meeting her after work. On Saturday we both enjoyed a full day of entertainment and returned back to the bus very late at night. Usually sites are quiet places around midnight but this site was full of festival goers so there were quite a few people wandering around.

On Sunday my dizzy niece was in the area so we did a rapid pickup from the station and brought her back for breakfast before sending her on her way and heading off to the festival once again.

In all, a great weekend and we would certainly do it again.
